The flagship office of Otkritie Private Banking, the wealthy client services division of Otkritie Bank, opened an exhibition of works by Egor Ostrov, a famous St. Petersburg artist.

Egor Ostrov is an artist of the third generation, the one who upholds the creative precepts of preserving the ideals of beauty and European tradition in the art of the famous New Academy of Fine Arts founded by Timur Novikov in St. Petersburg in early 1990s. The basis of Egor Ostrov's unique author's technique is the linear raster, which the artist brought to a whole new level with the help of computer technologies. The image is painted on canvas with painterly lines of different thickness and hue, which create a special optical effect, revealing the physics of the eye and visual perception. In his works he offers original visual readings of familiar compositions of old masters, "reinventing" them for the modern viewer and using the technical possibilities of modern science.

The exhibition is presented by a-s-t-r-a, a long-term partner of Otkritie Bank, a gallery project created by Alina Kryukova in 2018 to promote art among a new generation of connoisseurs and to popularize collecting.
